We have had some outages with a 503 Service Unavailable error. However, I expected such problems with a new system being rolled out to 9000 students. If we begin seeing these problems in the coming months I'd be a bit more concerned. Overall, I have not heard many complaints from my peers on campus. Although I think many have not switched to the new system yet. UW-Stout is still offering their old Exchange server nearly this entire year to students. Time will tell! Gateway Technical College and Milwaukee Area Technical college adopted the FREE GOOGLE gmail this year and have saved enormously..while giving the students advanced collaboration and storage capability. Not to forget Western Technical College that went a year ago and saved over $170,000. Our local Chippewa Valley Technical College went to MS LIVE@edu last August 08. The Leader-Telegram editor in Jan 08 urged Educational entities to give this new capability a closer look ..not only because it saves TAX $$$$$, but because of the Advantages & Capabilities it provides the students.
